Born in Saint-Jean-d’Angely, France. Raised in New-York and Los Angeles.
A prolific, visual, and collaborative storyteller brought up on Sergio Leone and "Star Wars" - He graduated at the top of his class with a B.F.A in film production from Art Center College of Design. In 2010, Alex’s action adventure script “The Girl With No Name” won the GRAND PRIZE at the Slamdance Film Festival Screenwriting Competition and was subsequently purchased by Co-Op Entertainment, it is anticipated to go into production in 2020 with Tanya Wexler at the helm (director of ‘Jolt’ starring Kate Bekinsale).
Alex pulled from his experiences as a street-racer for his first directing gig, "Born To Race", for ESX Entertainment. A teen action film centered around a father/son story. It was a domestic and international hit in the home video market, not to mention a rip of the movie on YouTube and got over 15 MILLION VIEWS.
Alex subsequently went on to direct 10 films for ESX, including "American Wrestler", about a 17 year-old Iranian refugee who defies adversity and becomes the high school wrestling champion during the Iran hostage crisis of 1980. It stars Jon Voight, William Fichtner and newcomer George Kosturos. The film won multiple awards on the festival circuit including “Best Picture” and “Best Ensemble” at the Boston Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Austin Film and Napa Film Festivals.
Alex most recently went back to the motorsports world for two more films, “Dirt”, starring Kevin Dillon, set in the redneck sport of off-road truck racing, and "Bennett's War", set in the world of motocross, which was theatrically released in 2019.
Alex's next movie “Ride”, will be in theaters in January 2020. He is currently developing an Action Adventure script for Purple Pictures Inc, and is in post-production on his Mixed-Martial-Arts drama "Mickey Kelley”.
Alex prides himself first and foremost with the performance of his cast. He has worked with veteran actors such as Jane Seymour, Sharon Stone, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Lea Thompson, Tommy Flanagan and Kevin Dillon.
Alex is an avid car enthusiast and resides in Santa Monica, CA.
